The stone is shaped like a triangle and is secured by three V-shaped prongs — one at the top point and two at each of the bottom corners. Everything in the pendant — from the prongs, the flame shapes, the chain loop, to the cable chain itself — is gold-plated. The chain is attached at the very top of the highest flame curve, using a hidden loop so the pendant hangs smoothly and looks seamless. This loop lets the pendant slide smoothly onto the chain.
