The left half has a amethyst gemstone with a faceted surface that shines and reflects light nicely. The right half has a amethyst gemstone, also faceted and the same size and shape as the black diamond. Both stones are shaped like a pear and are placed next to each other to form the full heart. Each stone is held in a gold-plated bezel setting that follows its shape closely. The two bezels are joined together in the middle to complete the heart shape. At the top curves of the heart, there are two small round gold-plated loops that connect the pendant to the chain. These loops help the heart stay upright when worn.
